When I was a teenager I found myself being kept awake by a mysterious electrical buzzing sound. I spent hours looking for the source of it and when I finally found it in the loose power plug at the back of a microwave, I thought “What if I had never found it? How far would I have gone?” I thought that would make a cracking dark comedy. Through film school I made friends who loved the concept and we all swore we would try and pull it off once we had about fifty-percent of the technical know-how (any more knowledge would have made us never attempt it).
