HONEY NOTHINGS - Talk to me

This wild music video was inspired by a comedic take on detective/investigator/noir tropes. References included The Conversation, The Lives of Others, Le Samourai and Blow Out but the final result is a whacky, over-the-top expression of physical comedy, played beautifully by the lead singer Sam Harper.

As all low-budget music videos are, it was a challenge to try and communicate a lot with very little, but thanks to the amazing art department work that Molly Hanrahan and Amber Rose pulled off we managed to make something pretty stunning with the “surveillance” scenes.

More than anything this video was a chance to attempt comedy, which for me was always seen as more daunting than any other genre. I think I learned more from making this than anything else purely because the bar for physical talent and performance had to be so much more exadurated, along with the camera and edit.

An amazing experience which i’m truly proud of.
